This building is a standout example of Modernisme architecture, designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch in the early 1900s. It was once the home of a famous chocolate maker and still keeps a lot of its original details, from stained glass to cool tile work. The place is most popular for its unique façade that looks like a gingerbread house and its super detailed interiors.
- The façade is covered in intricate designs and looks like something out of a fairytale.
- Inside, you’ll find original furniture, stained glass windows, and decorative ceilings.
- There’s a chocolate shop on the ground floor, keeping the sweet history alive.
- See a Real-Life Fairytale House: The building’s exterior is one of the most photographed in the city because it looks straight out of a storybook. 📸
- Step Into History: The interiors are preserved just like they were over a hundred years ago, so you get a real sense of how people lived back then. 🕰️
- Chocolate Connection: The original owner was a chocolate maker, and you can still grab some artisanal chocolate at the shop downstairs. 🍫
- Book tickets at least a few days in advance to make sure you get your preferred time slot.
- No specific dress code, but comfy shoes are a good idea since there’s a bit of walking inside.
- Best time to visit is in the morning when it’s less crowded and you can enjoy the details up close.
